Healthy snack for the week - cereal bars from the tray

After a vote on Instagram, most people voted for healthy snacks for the whole family . So let's start with these delicious, wholesome granola bars.



Ingredients


  • 150 g pumpkin seeds

  • 150 g sunflower seeds

  • 350 g oat flakes

  • 200 g apricots (chopped)

  • 50 g dates (chopped)

  • 3 eggs

  • 6 tablespoons honey

  • 70 g ground almonds

  • 120 ml unsweetened oat milk

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


  • 50 g dark chocolate (min. 70% cocoa content) -optional

1. Preheat the oven to 175 °C fan. Put all ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix everything together.


2. Line a baking tray with baking paper and spread the mixture onto the tray. Use a second baking paper to spread the mixture evenly onto the tray using a rolling pin. Remove the second baking paper.


3. Before baking, cut the mixture into bars or squares and put the tray in the oven for 20 to 30 minutes (middle rack).


4. After baking, let the bars cool down and, if you like, melt the chocolate in a water bath. Once the chocolate has completely melted, sprinkle a few stripes on the cereal bars.


5. Once the bars have cooled, you can store them in a cookie tin or airtight container for up to 2 weeks and snack on them as needed.
