Reflection exercise - achieve your goals and feel free

Do you know that?


You have to apply, but you're already thinking that you're not good enough or too old? So you don't even start.


You want to buy a new car, but you think it's too heavy? So you don't even start.


You want to become a manager, but you think I'm not a man or you compare yourself? So you don't even show interest in it publicly.


These are examples of limiting beliefs.


For example, do you want to take new paths, make decisions, become more successful, achieve goals or try a new career, but feel inhibited?


Have you considered whether beliefs are holding you back from taking action or even starting?



Here is an exercise for your reflection, ideal just before the end of the year, but also for in between:

  1. Write down your goals/wishes/steps.

  2. Observe yourself and your thoughts to see if any limiting beliefs arise. Write down this sentence.

  3. Consider whether this belief is realistic and justified? Is there another perspective? Can you rephrase this sentence? Cross out your original inhibiting belief and formulate a new beneficial positive belief and write it down.

  4. Read your new beliefs every day and start working on your goals/steps. Every beginning is the key to new paths, with patience and time you can achieve anything.

  5. Repeat this exercise every time you are confronted with an inhibiting belief. This exercise will become ingrained in you over time, giving you the confidence to take any step you want.


In addition to her passion for fitness, which you may already know, Nadia is a business coach. In one or two sessions you can also work with Nadia on your beliefs. Together you can also discuss the origin of these beliefs in order to be able to restructure them better.
